When people talk about something going 'viral' online, it simply means that something that someone has posted either on their blog, in a YouTube video, on a website, or in a report somewhere has become very popular very quickly. One way to do this is to post your viral content in a forum.

The moderators of the forums (the ones who control what can legally be posted within a forum) can either be a very good friend or your worst nightmare. If you follow the rules of the forum, participate, and become an active member first, and then later on post your viral content, you'll be trusted by far more people. One way to accomplish this is to only post the content you want people to see where it's allowed to be posted. Forums can be a great meeting ground for potential site visitors, customers, business partners or even service providers. They can also be a fantastic place to learn new things and to share your expertise.

Many message boards and forums have a specific area where all members are welcome to post their services, their products, or their reports. Stick to these areas when actively marketing your products within a post itself.

Forums can be difficult to keep up with especially if they are very active. So pick one or two forums where you know you can visit quite frequently, and when you do visit, be sure you take the time to answer questions where you can. This will help to position you as an authority within your area of expertise.

Above all, don't simply rush right into a forum and start posting your viral content immediately. This will likely get you reprimanded from the start and you certainly don't want to start off on the wrong foot with a forum administrator.
